Honey

Honey harvested from our apiary in the Northern Catskill Mountains with love for our product and respect for the bees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does your honey come from

Why does your honey look or taste different throughout the year?

The flowers our bees visit change with the seasons, and so does our honey! Spring harvests tend to be lighter and more delicate, while late-summer and fall honey often has a deeper color and richer flavor. Every harvest reflects the plants blooming around our Hudson Valley apiary.

My honey has crystallized. Is it still good?

Absolutely! Crystallization is a completely natural process and doesn't mean your honey has spoiled. In fact, it's a normal characteristic of real honey.

If you prefer your honey liquid, simply place the jar in a bowl of warm (not boiling) water and allow the crystals to dissolve slowly. Avoid overheating, which can affect the honey's delicate flavors and aromas.

Are your products handmade?

Yes! Our products, including our beeswax candles and other hive goods, are handmade in small batches. We also collaborate with fellow local makers and beekeepers to offer thoughtfully selected products that complement our own.
